Five years ago
A meeting that changed everything
It all started with a trip among friends. We came to discover Costa Rica like so many others, without really knowing what to expect. And then we arrived in Ojochal, on the South Pacific coast: a lush green valley, deserted beaches, and that gentle way of life they call pura vida.
We left with the same conviction: we had to come back. And stay a little longer, a little deeper. A few months later, we signed for an old hacienda hidden in the jungle, which we entirely renovated in our own style: warm, open, and faithful to the original tropical architecture.
Today, Hacienda De Los Sueños is our heart-home in Costa Rica. And we'd love nothing more than to share it with you.

Here, we don't offer you a postcard Costa Rica, but a real slice of local life. Ojochal is a quiet village, still untouched by mass tourism, where people take the time to say hello and every encounter matters.
Over the years, we've built strong ties with our neighbours. We're happy to introduce you to our favourite Ticos: the family who cooks the best casado in the valley and welcomes you into their home, the fisherman who comes back every morning with his catch, the chocolate artisan just minutes from the villa, the village soda where you can have lunch for a handful of colones.
That's the Hacienda De Los Sueños experience: feeling a little at home, a little at someone else's, and very much on holiday.

Wild beaches, nature all around, silence as a bonus
No row of hotels, no beach vendors, no crowds. Just the ocean, the jungle running down to the sand, and the call of the macaws at sunset. A rarity we protect dearly.
